Hillside and Sloped Lots
Many Cochrane properties sit on a slope. Screw piles are set to an exact height, so a deck or addition can sit level without stepped concrete forms or retaining work. Because there's minimal ground disturbance, piles can go in close to an existing house without digging around its foundation.

Rocky Ground
High-torque drive heads and hardened helix plates work past obstructions, and torque is monitored in real time so each pile reaches stable soil.

Acreages and Rural Buildings
Shops, barns, fencing, gates, signs and ground-mount solar, with no concrete trucks on the property.

Settling and Repairs
If a deck, step or addition has sunk, we lift and stabilize it with screw pile underpinning instead of pouring new concrete.

Why Cochrane Picks Down Force
A family-owned crew that welds custom caps and brackets on site, so awkward connections on sloped builds are solved on the day. Engineering is included in the pile price, and every pile is torque-verified.

Cochrane Screw Pile FAQ
Can you put screw piles on a steep slope?
Yes, in most cases. Piles are set to exact heights, and the engineer confirms the design for the slope.
What happens if you hit a rock?
High-torque equipment bypasses or cuts through many obstructions. If a pile can't reach depth, it's moved a few inches or the design is adjusted, never cut short.
Do screw piles damage my yard?
Very little. Compact machines and plywood keep ground impact minimal.
Do you install in winter?
Yes. Screw piles go in year-round, including frozen ground.
